The International Cricket Council (ICC) has informed the PCB that the following will officiate as ICC Referee and National Grid umpires in the forthcoming Pakistan Vs

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has informed the PCB that the following will officiate as ICC Referee and National Grid umpires in the forthcoming Pakistan Vs. Australia Test series 1998:-
- Mr. Peter van der Merwe (South Africa) |

- Mr. Peter Willey (England) |
(Umpire for 1st Test) at Rawalpindi on 15-19 Oct. |
- Mr. Dave Orchard (South Africa) |
(Umpire for 2nd Test ) at Peshawar on 15-19 Oct. |
- Mr. Steve Bucknor (West Indies) |
(Umpire for 3rd Test) at Karachi on 22-26 Oct. |
Another Referee will also be appointed by the ICC to officiate in the One Day International Series, whose name will be announced when received from the ICC.
