C&W BET took first-innings points against Big B Spartan after which they opted for batting practice before they come up against top-ofthe-table Pickwick in their next match.
Resuming on 157 for three overweek and with 'keeper Livvy Puckerin out with a back injury and Rohan Walcott retired hurt with a broken hand, Spartan needed all the luck in the world to get the other 100 odd runs.
Roy Alleyne gave them hope with a defiant unbeaten 53 that included five fours, but after an hour-and-a-half at the crease, the innings folded.
What compounded matters forthem was when one of their main bowlers, Dexter Toppin, pulled up during his innings and could not takethe field.
Ron Bates took the opportunity to run amok as he blasted seven sixes and four fours in his knock of 81 as he shared in a second-wicket partnership of 99 with Don Oneal, who hit four sixes and two fours in scoring 63.
Adrian Brathwaite followed up his first innings 98 with 39 that included two sixes and two fours.
But, the bowler who felt the BET's wrath was Aaron Barker whose 11 overs cost 93 runs.
