India v Sri Lanka, 2015-16

Wisden's review of the second Twenty20 International, India v Sri Lanka, 2015-16

15-Apr-2017
At Ranchi, February 12, 2016 (floodlit). India won by 69 runs. Toss: Sri Lanka.
The might of India's batting and spin bowling combined to level the series with a massive victory. Dhawan flayed the ball around the barren outfield on his way to a 22-ball half-century, his first in T20Is, as the openers raced to 75 from seven overs. Raina and Pandya took up the mantle, blasting 59 in a rollicking 26-ball partnership to push India towards 200. Perera claimed a late hat-trick - Sri Lanka's first in T20Is, and the fourth overall - but it made little difference. Dilshan, returning from a finger injury, dragged his foot out of his crease and was stumped from the first legal ball of the reply. It brought Ashwin the first of three scalps from four miserly overs and, as others chipped in, Sri Lanka were left miles short.
Man of the Match: S. Dhawan.
