Wisden's review of the fourth ODI, Australia v Sri Lanka, 2012-13

At Sydney, January 20, 2013 (day/night). No result. Toss: Australia.
Sri Lanka were well placed to seal the series after restricting Australia to 222. But rain interrupted
their pursuit after 3.2 overs and, to the enormous frustration of the visitors - and a crowd that had
stayed on optimistically through the showers - the umpires eventually decided the after-effects of
light showers would not dry in time to permit a restart. This was a relief for Australia's batsmen, who
had again been exposed by the moving ball: they slipped to 182 for nine before Starc's late hitting
spared some more blushes. Hussey's skittish stay raised eyebrows, and he was dropped after the next
match. Cricket Australia later wrote to the ICC, asking for a more "fan-centric" approach to decisions
about the resumption of play.
