The resignation of Philip Akroyd from the West District has created a casual vacancy for which three nominations have been received.
A ballot will therefore be required and voting forms will be despatched on Monday 8th October to those eligible to vote.
The three candidates are:-
Paul Ablett (50) from Wakefield
Dr Edmund Marshall (61) from Wakefield
Graham Vaux (65) from Darrington
The ballot will be conducted by the Electoral Reform Society and the result
announced on 26 October.
