The tri-nation series between Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe will carry on as planned in October according to the tournament organisers

"There is absolutely no change in the schedule and all the three teams have committed to play here and they will stick to the plan," said Zahid Noorani, chief executive of the Cricketers Benefit Fund Series, reported Reuters Sunday.

Tuesday's terrorist attacks in New York and Washington had forced the cancellation of New Zealand's tour of Pakistan on Thursday.

"We keep talking to the officials of the participating teams on a regular basis but our discussions are mainly confined to administrative matters," Noorani added.

The English Cricket Board (ECB) has also confirmed that the one-day series in Zimbabwe and three-Test tour of India in November will also go-ahead as planned.

"At the moment there is no suggestion of any England tour being affected," said an ECB official. "With regard to safety and security issues for overseas tours, we take our lead from any advice given by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office."
