Australia's 47-run win against India in Hyderabad means they have lost only two of their last 20 ODIs against India. Here are some more stats highlights from the third ODI of the seven-match series.

  • The 123-run partnership for the fourth wicket between Andrew Symonds and Michael Clarke is Australia's highest for that wicket in ODIs versus India. The earlier record was just one run lesser - Adam Gilchrist and Symonds had added 122 in Perth in February 2004.
  • It was also the fourth time that Clarke and Symonds have put together a three-figure stand. They now aggregate 1998 runs from 40 innings, at an average of 58.76 per completed partnership.
  • Harbhajan Singh conceded just 38 in his ten overs, but it was the fifth successive time he failed to take a wicket in an ODI when appearing in Indian colours. The rut started against Sri Lanka in Visakhapatnam in February this year, and continued through a couple of games in the West Indies and the two ODIs of the current series. However, the drought has been broken by the four wickets he took for Asia XI in the Afro-Asia Cup during this period.
  • Robin Uthappa and Rahul Dravid both fell without scoring in this match - it's the first time that India's No.3 and No.4 batsmen have both scored ducks in the same ODI.
  • Ricky Ponting became the fifth captain to lead his team in 150 one-day internationals, after Stephen Fleming (218), Arjuna Ranatunga (193), Allan Border (178) and Mohammad Azharuddin (173). Ponting has now scored 5620 ODI runs as captain, which puts him in second place, ahead of Ranatunga's 5608. Only Fleming, with 6295, has more.
  • Yuvraj's 121 was his fourth fifty-plus score in his last 15 ODIs. Apart from these, he also has three other scores between 45 and 49, and averages 52.27 during this period.
  • Andrew Symonds' 89 is his sixth 50-plus score against India, and his highest of the lot. He now has an average of 38.47 against them, in 22 innings.
  • Australia have now won 15 of their last 20 ODIs against India, losing just two (three games were washed out).
