Is that Ashwin? The unofficial representative for India when we end up losing?

I agree with @ Natesan333. The fact is there is no one dominant team out there that can dominate both at home condition and in foreign conditions. England are no 1 but they certainly doesn't deserve the no 1 spot infact, nobody at the present does. If your judging the teams based on home and away performances then the rankings is baselesss

@Shikhar Ahuja How is what I said an excuse, I am just stating a fact. No team out there at the present moment is a dominant force (like WI back in the 80s or the Aus in the early part of 2000). You saw what happened to the mighty England in the hands of Pakistan few months ago and then Pakistan losing the series to Sri Lanka (in Sri Lanka). India can once again climb the status (both in test and ODI) because they have a lot of home series coming up. It's just a facts of life my friend.

@Natesan333, India has never been so comfortable to win 4 matches by an innnings and the remaining 4 matches by 100+ runs like they lost them in England and Australia in the last year. 5-0 win in ODI's is simply not enough of an excuse to erase all the ignominy that the Indian team faced in those test matches.

@scdkee I think you are forgetting the 5-0 India, later on. Guess everyone is comfy in their own backyard!!

lol @ yoogi; yep, 4-0 clean sweep; what 5-nil in one days; and 2 odd t-20's wasn't that bad! :)

That doesnt seems to be fair!!! Dhoni is the one who always accepts his mistakes!!!

Posted by   on (July 20, 2012, 7:14 GMT)

absolutely right... team India have been regularly improving at giving newer and better excuses on their failures. Am not bothered about who wins this meaningless Ind-Lanka series, but would surely notice what Dhoni says after every failure.

Great cartoon, but given how Australia did in england, India didnt do that badly last year.
