India 292 (Mandhana 117, Deepti 40, Brown 3-42, Gardner 2-39) beat Australia190 (Sutherland 45, Perry 44, Goud 3-28, Deepti 2-24) by 102 runs
The final margin may make the win seem easy but it took spirited bowling from India following Smriti Mandhana's century to draw level at 1-1 in the three-match series. Riding on Mandhana's 12th ODI ton, India posted 292, a total that seemed lower than what they should have got. In response, India's seamers stifled the top order and the spinners put pressure on the middle to hand Australia their biggest ODI defeat. All this after being thrashed in the opening match at the same venue.

Pooran powers all-round Knight Riders into CPL Qualifier 2

The other stars for Knight Riders were Usman Tariq and Saurabh Netravalkar, who returned 5 for 42 between them to stop Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at 166

Trinbago Knight Riders 168 for 1 (Pooran 90*, Hales 54*) beat Antigua and Barbuda Falcons 166 for 8 (Gous 61, Jangoo 55, Netravalkar 3-23, Tariq 2-19, Russell 2-30) by nine wickets
It was set up nicely for Trinbago Knight Riders after their bowling innings, with Saurabh Netravalkar and Usman Tariq, in the main, restricting Antigua and Barbuda Falcons to 166. Then it was over to Nicholas Pooran, with Alex Hales his able collaborator, to knock off the runs with 15 balls and nine wickets in hand - Falcons were out of CPL 2025, and Knight Riders are now in Qualifier 2, where they will take on either Guyana Amazon Warriors or St Lucia Kings, and take them on full of confidence.
The last two games of the CPL group stage had been played in Providence too, and a total in the range of 185-190 might have been competitive based on that small evidence. On the night, though, Pooran made it seem like even 215-220 wouldn't have been enough.

Tanzid, Mustafizur keep Bangladesh's Asia Cup campaign alive

The powerplays proved to be the difference on a pitch that was difficult for batting

Bangladesh 154 for 5 (Tanzid 52, Saif 30, Noor 2-23, Rashid 2-26) beat Afghanistan 146 (Gurbaz 35, Mustafizur 3-28, Nasum 2-11, Rishad 2-18) by eight runs
Bangladesh held on for a win in the first real nail-biter of Asia Cup 2025, as they pipped Afghanistan by eight runs and kept their hopes of qualification alive.
The defence was set up by the very first delivery of the chase, as Nasum Ahmed trapped Sediqullah Atal lbw. It signalled the start of a dominant bowling powerplay that would see just 27 runs scored for the loss of two wickets.

Kapp, Brits deflate Pakistan as SA win ODI series opener

Both batters scored unbeaten centuries and posted South Africa's third-highest partnership in women's ODIs

South Africa 259 for 2 (Kapp 121*, Brits 101*, Rameen 1-29) beat Pakistan 255 for 4 (Amin 121*, Muneeba 76, Khaka 2-36) by eight wickets
Marizanne Kapp and Tazmin Brits hit centuries and put up the third-highest partnership for South Africa in women's ODIs to brush aside Pakistan in the series opener in Lahore.
South Africa were in trouble early in their chase of 256. Sadia Iqbal bowled Laura Wolvaardt in the second over and Sune Luus was out lbw by Rameen Shamim in the tenth. But from 43 for 2, the 216-run third-wicket stand lifted South Africa, and the pair finished the game off with ten balls to spare. Kapp, the No. 4, stayed unbeaten on 121 with her third ODI ton, while opener Brits scored 101 not out for her fifth ODI century.
