Sri Lanka 306 for 3 (Chandimal 116, Mathews 78*, Kamindu 51*, Phillips 1-33) vs New Zealand
A trademark, enterprising century from Dinesh Chandimal led Sri Lanka's charge towards a big score, making New Zealand rue multiple lapses in the field on the opening day in Galle. Chandimal switched gears across the first two sessions on his way to a 16th Test century, helping the hosts finish on a commanding 306 for 3. Unbeaten half-centuries from Angelo Mathews and Kamindu Mendis provided the support act.
New Zealand would have picked up more than three wickets in the day had Daryl Mitchell not put down two catches at first slip, Tom Blundell not missed Dimuth Karunartne's stumping, and William O'Rourke not overstepped when he had Mathews caught behind. It was Chandimal's chanceless innings, however, that hurt the visitors the most. He raised his sixth hundred in Galle and his fourth 50-plus score in eight Test innings while batting at No. 3 - out of his usual position in the middle order, to accommodate Kamindu at No. 5 and Kusal Mendis at No. 7.

All-round Daniyal, Khushdil help Lions KO Stallions

Lions will now face Markhors in the second Eliminator on Friday

Lions 263 for 9 (Daniyal 65*, Taha 47, Yamin 46, Ubaid 3-46, Amin 2-35, Sadaqat 2-50) beat Stallions 251 (Yasir 39, Khushdil 3-40, Daniyal 3-59) by 12 runs
An all-round show from Ahmed Daniyal and a three-wicket haul from Khushdil Shah helped Lions keep their campaign alive, as they held on for a 12-run victory in the Champions One-Day Cup Eliminator against Stallions in Faisalabad. Lions will now face Markhors in the second Eliminator on Friday, with the winner facing Panthers in Sunday's final.
Opting to bat, Lions were in a spot of bother at 43 for 3, before Sharoon Siraj (38) and Mohammad Taha revived the innings with a 77-run partnership. However, Stallions kept chipping away, resulting in another slide for Lions, who went from 120 for 3 to 140 for 7 in the space of five overs. With Lions staring at the possibility of a sub-200 total, Daniyal and Aamer Yamin launched a counterattack, their 81-run eighth-wicket stand eventually guiding the team to 263 for 9. While Yamin was run out for 46, Daniyal remained unbeaten on 65 off 59 balls, with two fours and five sixes. For Stallions, seamer Ubaid Shah was the pick of the bowlers, ending with 3 for 46.

Renshaw fifty in vain as rain and bad light win to leave points shared

Queensland and Tasmania share the points after only 16 overs were possible due to rain and bad light, with Renshaw posting 51 off 36

Queensland 128 for 5 (Renshaw 51, Hearne 35, Bell 2-12, Webster 2-27) vs Tasmania
Matt Renshaw's first half-century of a new summer was the only shining light on an otherwise gloomy day in Melbourne as Queensland and Tasmania shared the One-Day Cup points on offer after rain and bad light meant only 16 overs were possible.
Renshaw made 51 off 36 balls with four fours and three sixes as Queensland posted 128 for 5 from the only play possible on a day where rain delayed the start by four-and-a-half hours and bad light ended it early.

Ayub's all-round show, Hasnain's early strikes take Panthers into final

Ayub took a career-best 5 for 24 and then scored 33 to help Panthers chase down 138

Panthers 143 for 3 (Usman 54*, Ayub 33, Javed 1-20) beat Markhors 137 (Agha 52, Iftikhar 39, Ayub 5-24, Hasnain 3-25) by seven wickets
Mohammad Hasnain and Saim Ayub put in strong performances to take Panthers into the final of the Champions Cup with a seven-wicket win over Markhors. It was also the first win for the chasing team in the tournament.
Batting first after winning the toss, Markhors had a poor start as Ali Raza dismissed Haseebullah Khan in the second over of the game. The real damage, though, was done by Hasnain, who sent back Fakhar Zaman, Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Rizwan to leave Markhors on 25 for 4 in the seventh over.

England 254 for 4 (Brook 110*, Jacks 84) beat Australia 304 for 7 (Carey 77*, Smith 60, Archer 2-67) by 46 runs (DLS method)
Harry Brook's scintillating maiden ODI hundred led England to victory over Australia at Chester-le-Street, a seemingly daunting chase handled with some comfort before the rain arrived to produce a 46-run margin on Duckworth-Lewis-Stern. England's first win in the format since December kept the series alive with two to play, whilst also ending Australia's 14-game winning run stretching back to the 2023 World Cup.
Brook's inexperienced side looked to be in trouble after failing to contain Australia with the ball despite helpful conditions early on, Alex Carey's unbeaten 77 leading the cavalry charge in the second half of the innings. England then stumbled to 11 for 2 in the fourth over, Mitchell Starc removing both openers in the space of five balls.
