What's on the Lord's lunch menu?

A while ago, we asked a few players which cricketing venue had the best catering. The results were almost unanimous - no other ground came close to what Lord's had to offer. Both Heather Knight and Kyle Jamieson were floored by the giant prawns they had as an entree, while Issy Wong's complaint was that there's never enough food at Lord's!
At ESPNcricinfo we're all about investigative journalism so we sent our best minds to suss out what's on the menu in the media box. And frankly, it's a wonder any cricket gets played or any work gets done at all if the meals look like this.
Who has the coolest elevator entrance?

Walking in to bat, running in to bowl - cricket has some cool entrances, but can the players remain cool when trying to enter through a lift door that's closing?
Jacob Bethell's the coolest among this set from the Hundred, according to us. Almost leaning casually and using his elbow to keep the lift door open - class!

The Lord's Test between England and India is perfectly placed for an exciting final-day finish with India needing 135 runs to win with six wickets in hand. We haven't been able to take our eyes off the action so far - the dismissals, the banter, the delaying tactics, the aggression shown by both sides. Here's a quick social-media round-up in case you missed it.
This was the reception Joe Root received in the Long Room as he walked out to bat in the second innings on day four - warm, but polite, applause, you could call it.

Stuart Broad might be a full-fledged commentator now talking about the action out in the middle, but he still has to relive his playing days now and then. Jonathan Agnew reminded him of his ten first-ball dismissals in Tests and asked if he could pick the one that "would put a smile on the commentator's face".
Broad knew the "innings" Aggers wished to talk about and offered an explanation for what Aggers called "the longest first-baller there's ever been".
It was the Adelaide Ashes Test in 2013-14. England were 117 for 6 in response to Australia's 570 when Broad walked out to bat.
"So I got out to the middle," Broad recalled. "Mitchell Johnson's obviously bowling pretty quick. And beautiful blue sky at Adelaide. Belting sunshine and the sun was reflecting something off the sight screen directly at me. In fairness, Brad Haddin, the wicketkeeper, came up to the stumps and said, 'I can see that too brightly where I'm wicketkeeping. Can we get something put over the sight screen in that corner?'
"But they had to go get ladders and all sorts. I do remember thinking: this is taking too long. And then I overthought the trigger. I overthought what he [Johnson] was going to bowl to me. I told myself 5000 times he's going to bounce me. And he didn't. It was full. Hit my stumps and I went."

Thursday was the opening day of the third Test between India and England at Lord's. And it was a special day for Sachin Tendulkar, the format's most prolific batter, at the Home of Cricket.
A huge thank you to the incredible Stuart Pearson Wright for his portrait of Sachin Tendulkar.

The portrait will remain in the MCC Museum until the end of the 2025 season, at which point it will be relocated to the Pavilion. pic.twitter.com/MzYETxxodK
He started the day by unveiling his portrait, painted by British artist Stuart Pearson Wright, at the MCC Museum at Lord's. "I first visited Lord's as a teenager in 1988, and returned in 1989 with the Star Cricket Club team," he posted on social media. "I remember standing near the pavilion, soaking in the history and dreaming quietly.
"Today, to have my portrait unveiled at this very place is a feeling that's hard to put into words. Life has truly come full circle. I'm grateful, and filled with wonderful memories."

Move over Met Gala. If you're a sportsperson, the place to be seen right now is at Wimbledon, which served up its usual mix of strawberries, sunshine, and surprise cricketer sightings. Newly retired Virat Kohli made his appearance at Centre Court ten years after he was seen there last, and he was very clear on who he was rooting for. He name-dropped Novak Djokovic with whom he's been touch "for some time now".
Turns out being retired isn't a pre-requisite for showing up at the tournament - you can also drop by if you're between Tests. Rishabh Pant certainly did.

India fought back against England to win the Edgbaston Test and level the series 1-1. Here's some fun behind-the-scenes footage from the Test and after it.
First up, Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant and Akash Deep tried to get a nice photo in together. That took a while. Poor Akash Deep took ten wickets in the Test, but that only meant he had to endure cake on his face and his hair.

Australia are leading 1-0 in their Test series against West Indies and captain Pat Cummins is enjoying his tour of the Caribbean, particularly interacting with the local people.
"Just the few people I've met so far have been awesome," Cummins said ahead of the second Test in St George's in Grenada. "The chef this morning making my omlette was telling me how he's cooked fish for Punter [Ricky Ponting] and Haydos [Matthew Hayden] in the 2007 World Cup. That obviously went well.

With the Wimbledon on, England's cricketers were asked to make their choice between Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner and Spain's Carlos Alcaraz, the defending champion at SW19 and who beat Sinner in a riveting French Open final last month.
The choice was overwhelmingly in favour of Alcaraz, the two-time Wimbledon champion. Joe Root, Ollie Pope, Shoaib Bashir, Chris Woakes, Jacob Bethell, Jamie Smith and Josh Tongue all picked him over Sinner, who was chosen fast bowlers Brydon Carse and Jamie Overton.
