68b to RM Ghosh, cleans her up! Full on middle and off. Ghosh sees the length and thinks she can deposit this into the stands. The ball, though, seems to leave her very late and Ghosh only connects with fresh air. Hears the death rattle soon after, and the Phoenix lose another!. 80/4
20103311.654130
100b to EL Arlott, chopped on! In the slot outside off and it is there to be hit. Arlott, though, perhaps tries to hit it too hard and loses shape. Tugs at it more than needed and chunks it off the inside edge into her stumps. An anti-climactic end to a sprightly cameo and Bell is elated at having finally gotten a wicket!. 137/7

16b to SFM Devine, massive appeal, and the finger goes up! Darted in full on middle and leg. Devine has a swipe across the line but picks too full a ball to play the sweep. Sneaks under her bat and thuds into her back thigh. Seemed pretty straight, and Devine does not bother with the review!. 20/1
28b to SL Kalis, appeal for a stumping, and Southby is very confident! Tossed up on a length just outside off. Kalis looks to go downtown but because she is beaten in the air, she has to reach out in front of her body. Over-balances in the process and the back foot lifts up. That is all Southby needs and she has timed her stumping to absolute perfection. Foot in the air, bails off their groove and the Phoenix are two down!. 29/2

79b to SA Smale, another catch for Bouchier, and Tryon is into the wicket-taking act! Given a bit of air outside off. Smale steps down, trying to clear long on. Does not get the power or the elevation she is after and Bouchier does the rest on the fence. The Brave keep chipping away!. 91/5
1041311.302000
46b to EA Perry, taken by Bouchier this time! She was not going to drop two in the same passage of play! Tossed up full on middle and leg. Perry skips down again, looking to go over long on. Does not get under it enough, though, and arrows it towards Bouchier, who tracks it all the way and completes the catch with a smart dive to her right. Massive moment in the game!. 52/3
1022212.204020
94b to AE Jones, soft dismissal! Slower ball on a back of a length way outside off. Jones does not seem to pick the variation and has to reach out too. In the end, she chalks it right off the bottom of the part and Mandhana snares the easiest of chances at extra cover. A top innings, though, and it has given the Phoenix something to fight with!. 126/6

97b to LK Bell, that will be that! The Birmingham Phoenix have gone back-to-back, and the Southern Brave, defending champions, are still winless in 2024! Zipped in full on leg stump. Bell gives the charge, perhaps in pre-meditated fashion. Ends up yorking herself and the ball sneaks under the bat, going on to smash leg stump soon after. Smiles all around in the Phoenix camp, and it looks like they enjoyed this win, having been behind in this game about half an hour ago. Another missed opportunity for the Brave, and their winless streak continues!. 121/10

12b to S Mandhana, huge appeal, not given! Very full just outside off. Mandhana jams down on it and seems to hit the turf with her bat. The Phoenix, though, think Mandhana has guided this off the face of the bat into Jones' gloves. A bit of discussion, before the Phoenix review. The bat definitely hit the ground but there seems to be a deflection after the ball passes the bat too. Very tough to just decide based on the UltraEdge due to the other factors involved, although it does seem Mandhana might be in trouble here. That is exactly the case. Decision reversed, and Perry has gotten the big fish!. 18/1
14b to ME Bouchier, nicked and gone, or is it?! Not given again by Grace Bambury. Sent upstairs instantly! Length in the fifth stump channel. Curves away from Bouchier beautifully and she gets into an awful position looking for the flick. Seems to get a feather through to Jones, and replays confirm that suspicion. A big spike and a palpable deflection too. Perry goes back to back, and the Brave been rocked again!. 18/2
17b to GL Adams, another sound, and not given again by Grace Bambury. Reviewed by the Phoenix. What is happening here?! Length in the channel just outside off. Nips away after pitching and grazes the inside edge as Adams swishes at it. Or, so it seemed in real time. On to replays now to confirm. UltraEdge comes up and there is an enormous spike. Decision overturned for the third time in the last five minutes, and Perry has her third!. 21/3
2092131.053000
63b to FG Kemp, sharp work by Amy Jones, and the Phoenix have the breakthrough they would have been after! Darted in full outside off. Kemp takes a step down the track and looks to go inside out. Only connects with fresh air and Jones does the rest behind the stumps. Might have grazed the outside edge on the way too, and in fact, it has been given out caught-behind!. 89/4
87b to CL Tryon, massive appeal, and looks very adjacent! Darted in on a back of a length on off. Tryon moves across, trying to access the leg side. Gets too far across, though, and cannot connect with her swipe. Gets rapped on the front pad, in front of off stump, and the umpire raises his finger. Tryon has reviewed because, well, why not. But if she has not gotten bat on this, it could be curtains. No bat involved, and Ball Tracking has the ball crashing into middle and off stump!. 113/6
89b to R Southby, edged and taken! Another super take by Amy Jones! Fired in on a length just outside off. Southby shapes for the cut but that is neither as wide to cut nor as short. Gets a feather and Jones, after a bit of a juggle, clings on. Given out by the umpire, and Southby has to walk back for a two-ball duck!. 113/7
2053111.553020
93b to ND Dattani, nicked and gone! The Southern Brave are nine down! Length ball angled across and hung up wide outside off. Dattani goes chasing after it because she has no other choice. Loses shape, though, and is off-balanced when she tries to make contact. All she manages is a nick through to Jones, who makes no mistake!. 116/8
2092111.052000
69b to DN Wyatt, Wyatt bites the dust, and Baker dents the Brave further! Much slower and shorter outside off. Seems to stick in the surface too and that causes Wyatt to play too early. She was wanting to punch it past cover but all she manages is a tame lob towards Wilson, who snaps down to her right and gobbles up the chance. Advantage Phoenix now?. 92/5
