Full on the leg side, he looks to go over midwicket but can't get enough bat, Mahmudullah at midwicket runs backwards, goes full stretch, times his jump to perfection and pulls off a tumbling catch. Superb stuff
Bulls vs Rangpur, 4th Match at Dhaka, Nov 23 2015 - Ball by Ball Commentary
That's that for the night. Fourth last-over finish in as many matches has set up this season superbly. There are plenty of videos and post-match stuff to watch out for. Cheers!
Kevon Cooper is the Player of the Match: "We wanted to get 140, and with the ball, it was all about partnerships, which made the difference. When I went in to bat, I realised their bowlers were bowling slower deliveries. We planned to hit hard lengths."
Mahmudullah : The bowlers bowled well with the wet ball, Sami and Cooper were outstanding. The plan was to just wait for the loose balls. I thought we would be able to get to 140. 155 was quite competitive on that wicket. Credit to the bowlers for the way they came out and bowled.
Shakib : We conceded a little too many in the last five overs. We didn't accelerate well in the middle overs. That put a lot of pressure on us. Our top order and middle order needs to step up. I don't think we relaxed after we had them four down for not too many. Credit to them for playing well through that phase.
Rangpur have been brilliant. To recover from three down for nothing to post 155 and then defend it in the manner they have has been heartening. The comeback was kickstarted by their captain Mahmudullah. It's only fitting that he takes the winning catch as well. Cooper too played his part with both bat and ball. At different stages in the chase, it looked like Rangpur would get there easily, but the dismissals of Perera and Mithun towards the end turned it around.
scoops a simple catch to the cover fielder. Another one bites the dust. Game, set and match. Cooper's thrilled. What a fantastic over this has been
swings and misses, the ball rolls off the pad to the on side
excellent delivery, sees the batsman backing away and follows him with the short ball which he can't get any bat to, they set off for the run but Taylor's underarms the throw to Cooper who runs to the striker's end to whip the bails off. That should seal it for Rangpur
ball deflects off the thigh pad to the keeper as the batsman looks to swing across the line
A Trinidadian dismisses the man from St Lucia to help Barisal stay in the hunt in their clash against Rangpur. Wow
looks to clear long-off but can only manage to get the toe end, the fielder in the deep kept his eyes on the ball, called loud and clear, settled underneath it, watched it swirl but held it together. Superbly done by Seekkuge Prasanna. His teammates can't be happier. No Sammy magic tonight.
full toss outside off, a little too quick for him but it doesn't matter. The swing finds a thick outside edge that runs past the keeper and into the third man boundary
shortish delivery outside off, he can't free his arms to get it past point, they get a single nevertheless
right in the slot and he picks the long-on fielder. Didn't really connect but full marks to Sami for bowling it full and straight. The celebration in the Barisal camp tells you a story. Gone for 55.
can't free his arms but scampers through for a single as the ball is hit to cover
pushed to cover
sweetly timed, backs away and strokes it to deep cover. The throw comes in to the bowler who fires a five-yard throw to the stumps and Perera is gone. Looks like he's two inches short. Drama all around. Is there another twist?
Cheeky! Walks across the stumps, uses the pace of the bowler to scoop it over short fine leg
Uwaisul Karnain: "Earlier we witnessed Dilshan vs Dilshan. Will we get an opportunity to watch Sami vs Sammy here?" Wishful thinking
excellent yorker, he squeezes it to point, near overthrow there
slapped back past the bowler, Al-Amin put his hand out and I'm sure he must be wincing in pain.
not much the bowler can do. Low full toss outside off, the ball flies off the thick outside edge into the third man boundary
swings across the line, the long-on fielder slips while getting to the ball and they're back for the second
Haider: "If this Mithun is anything like Bollywood's Mithun, then this match will be over will be very soon :)" Not sure, really but he'd do well to give Perera strike
full and wide outside off, yorker-length delivery, squeezed to deep cover
low full toss, he backs away and hits it to deep cover
