Loopy, swept and England win the second ODI by 6 wickets! A relieved Jos Buttler shakes hands with the opposition with a smile on his face. Runs for him, Brook and Will Jacks help England topple their target of 203 with 103 balls to spare.
West Indies vs England, 2nd ODI at North Sound, WI v ENG, Dec 06 2023 - Match Result
7.29pm Right, that's all from us here tonight. Join us on Saturday for the decider at the Kensington Oval. As West Indies captain Shai Hope put it: "It's simple - we win the game, we win the series."
7.26pm Jos Buttler on becoming the 5th Englishman to pass 5,000 ODI runs: "Really pleasing. I've been playing for a while now so it's great when you get to those milestones after playing for a long period of time. It's been a frustrating time recently."
7.22pm Sam Curran is player of the match. "It was a tough day the other day, but you need to keep moving forward and bounce back," he says. "We did so many things right in that first game. The messages from the coaches and captain was just that. We had to come back today and put things right, which we did."
7.13pm The batters saw it home, but it was the bowlers who set-up this victory, dismissing West Indies for what looked about 70 under par. Sam Curran's three up top, Liam Livingstone's three in the middle - including Shai Hope - and a couple each for Gus Atkinson and Rehan Ahmed did the business. All to play for heading to Barbados on Saturday.
Driven to mid off once more
Flatter, driven firmly, straight to mid off
Pushed back, Brook defends, eyes right behind the ball
Full toss, bunted to mid on
Well bowled! Leaps of the pitch, having enticed the drive from Buttler, who almost edges behind.
Scores level! Dug in and sent comfortably through midwicket, all along the carpet
Another stunning six down the ground! This one brings up Buttler's half-century from 43 balls. It's a first fifty in 15 innings for the skipper, which shows just how tough it has been. But he's come in and steadied matters with some of the vim of old
Leg cutter grips and almost turns Buttler around. Thick outside edge squirts away to third, wide enough of the fielder to allow two
Bang in, not much carry, Buttler wafts and gets a thick outside edge for four. Not pretty cricket, at all
Full, outside off, bludgeoned straight to cover, where Hetmyer makes a palm-stinging stop
Oshane Thomas back into the attack
Top of off again, Buttler seeing it well enough to get it out of the screws with a defensive shot for a single in front of square
Hand off the bat as a bit of extra bounce surprises Brook, but still manages ti get it comfortably behind square for one
Full, top of off, Brook defends and again enquires about a single. Still no
Back of a length, defended into the pitch. Thinks about a single, is talked out of it quickly by Buttler
Painful for Shepherd! Gets the ball smashed back at him as he goes straight and fuller. Ends up wearing it on the calf, and wearing it well
Wide, cut and four! By no means convincing - Brook just throws his hands at the ball and ends up slicing it down inside the boundary rider at third
Four more! Buttler flays through midwicket, timed superbly. It's a great effort in the deep once more, only the feet are touching the sponge when the hands re-engage with the ball after the initial save.
Play and a miss! Jos steps across, Rutherford holds his nerve and goes slightly wider and Buttler misses the cut
Well-directed short ball, whipped around the corner by Brook. Looks four all the way but Cariah puts in a great dive to keep it to one
