Right, so that concludes are coverage of this second ODI. We'll be back again in a couple of days for the final ODI. Until then, it's goodbye from us. Thanks for joining.
Renuka Singh is the Player of the Match: I've been working on my strength, practicing my hard lengths and variations. We read the wicket well, that's why we bowled first. The weather was to our advantage as well. Our management asked us to keep things very simple and stick to our strengths.
Harmanpreet Kaur: We have been talking about long partnerships and thankfully we got it today. I'm happy with the way we batted, it was outstanding to watch. I'm very happy that the bowlers are giving breakthroughs whenever called upon
Chamari Athapaththu: The first ten overs they bowled really well taking 2-3 wickets. We also dropped a few catches and catches win matches. We lost wickets at crucial moments. Definitely, I have to bat through the innings. I'll try my best next game.
That's as convincing as convincing can get. The bowlers set it up, the openers finished it off. Sri Lanka needed early wickets to have any chance in this contest, but they got none. They didn't help their cause by dropping the chances that came their way, at least a couple of them regulation takes at this level. Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma took the attack to the bowlers and stitched together India's highest partnership for any wicket against Sri Lanka, Mandhana making her 23rd ODI fifty and Verma, her 4th. India's 174-run chase was also the highest target successfully chased without losing a wicket in Women's ODIs. With this win, India take an unassailable two-nil lead in the series. Stay tuned for the presentation.
length and down the leg side, Mandhana has a swing at it but misses, as does the keeper, though and India are just one away now
length and angled in, Mandhana shuffles across and picks it up off her hip, and has enough power to clear the ropes
full outside off, Mandhana makes a little room drills it down the ground, past mid-off and into the boundary as the long-on can't cut it off either
length on off, swept away to deep square leg who keeps them to one
length outside off, pushed to long-off
length outside off, pushed into the covers
length on middle and off, she looks for the reverse sweep but only edges it on to her pad
length outside off, pushed to deep cover
length on the pads, tucked away to deep square leg
length outside off, Verma looks to hoick this leg side and gets a leading edge that hangs in the air forever before falling in no man's land
full on middle, makes room and goes over the bowler's head, long-on comes running in and puts in a dive to her right to keep the ball in play. She seems to have done herself some damage as she stopped that and is walking off the field with the physio
full on middle, looks to go down-town but only manages a thick inside edge to short fine-leg
length outside off, pushed to long-off
tossed up generously but down the leg side as Verma tries to scoop it but misses
another chance put down. It was length outside off, Mandhana made room to go inside out but only managed to slice it over point, who turned around and ran backwards, getting close enough to it but failing to get a hand on it in the end
length on middle, pushed back to the bowler
length outside off, Verma had been itching to play that stroke, picks it up high and handsome on the slog sweep and easily clears deep midwicket
length on the pads, tucked away to deep midwicket
