"Pretty disappointed," says Angelo Mathews. "They outplayed us in all three departments. The way the wicket played, the toss was crucial. It started turning in the second innings, but they outplayed us. In the field we showed a little bit of improvement, but we need to improve a lot in all three departments. We can't panic. From the moment Shehzad and Azhar got off to a good start, scoring 40s, Pakistan were ahead, and they just kept widening that gap over the rest of the day. Hafeez and Sarfraz - promoted to 4 - then scored fifties, and Malik and Rizwan provided the finishing fillip. Sri Lanka were set a target bigger than any that has been chased successfully in Sri Lanka, and they needed Perera and Dilshan to get off to a flying start. Anwar Ali, however, dismissed then in his first spell with slower offcutters, whereupon the spinners established a choke hold on Sri Lanka, which Pakistan never released. Along the way there was an unfortunate mini riot in the stands, with a rock finding its way to the ground, causing an interruption in play. The good news is, nobody got hurt, we came back to play, and there were still a few spectators left who danced to the end
