11.2 to DP Conway, miscued, and Conway perishes! Hard length, tailing into leg stump. Conway has designs of helping this away but the inward angle cramps him completely. He cannot extend his arms and the slight extra bounce off the surface means Conway skews it off the top edge. Easy catch for Burger at short fine leg, and Ngidi has done exactly what SA would have wanted him to!. 101/2
13.5 to MS Chapman, one hand comes off the bat, and Hermann takes it rather acrobatically on the fence! Another slower ball, dipping devilishly on a full length just outside off. Chapman is a week early into the stroke and loses control of his lofted shot completely. Drags it towards deep mid wicket, where Hermann seems to initially misjudge it. But then, he recovers and he recovers big time. Stands still as the ball comes down and then stretches every sinew of his body to take a wonderful catch over his head, while falling backwards. Ngidi has two, and SA threatening a foothold in the game now!. 127/3

16.5 to R Ravindra, holes out to deep mid wicket, and Ravindra will not provide the finishing kick NZ are after! Not the yorker Burger was looking for, but this ends up being a very useful low full toss. Ravindra cannot get under it and chalks it off the toe-end. No power on that at all and Brevis does the rest, well inside the fence. But hang on. Hang on...there could be some drama yet. The third umpire is checking whether Burger's back foot has transgressed the return crease. He takes a couple of looks at it, and then decides to send Ravindra on his way. SA heave a sigh of relief, and Ravindra, having sparkled during his 27-ball stay, has to walk back three short of a well-deserved fifty!. 152/4

19.3 to MG Bracewell, another stunning grab, and Bracewell has to go! Full and slanted across the batter outside off. Bracewell's eyes light up and he throws the plumbing at it. Absolutely laces it too but the only problem is that he hits it too close to Linde at cover. He snaps down sharply to his left and gobbles up a very sharp chance. Bracewell is disappointed as he walks back, and that catch sums up how SA have nudged themselves back into the contest!. 174/5

8.4 to TL Seifert, oh, put a cape on Rassie van der Dussen! A moment of brilliance to break this threatening stand! This is fuller and hung up wide outside off. Seifert thinks he can go inside-out and gives it all he has after advancing. Does not quite get the elevation, though, and hits it close enough to van der Dussen at extra cover. He flings himself to his left and makes the ball stick right in between both of his palms. A superb catch, and that is probably the only thing that could have gotten the better of Seifert!. 75/1

19.2 to D Brevis, in the air, and has Bracewell taken it at deep mid wicket?! Oh my - what a moment this could be in this contest! Dug in shorter outside off and Brevis cannot resist the temptation to have a pop at it. Gets a good chunk of it too, but not a good enough chunk from his and South Africa's perspective. The ball hangs in the air for an eternity and when it does come down, Bracewell, right on the fence, takes the catch, before performing a juggling act to complete it. But the question now is whether Bracewell stepped onto the rope before he first made contact. This is touch-and-go. The first angle does not definitively provide an answer. The second one, though, does seem to suggest Bracewell might be fine. The third umpire takes a few looks at it, and decides Bracewell did not step on to the rope. Brevis departs for a 16-ball 31, and this game has been ripped wide open again!. 174/5
19.5 to GF Linde, you cannot do that, Daryl Mitchell! A magnificent catch, under the severest of pressure situations, and NZ have a hand on the tri-series now! This is dug into the track outside off. Linde stands tall and forehands it towards long on. Mitchell seems out of the game for the longest while but then he appears from the shadows like a superhero. He tracks the ball adeptly and then lunges low down to his right to snare the chance. What a moment to produce an effort like that, and SA still four away from what seemed an un-botchable chase!. 177/6

15.1 to RA Herman, oh dear - a cry of anguish from Hermann, and a gasp from all those with a South African persuasion! This is in the slot and to be fair to Hermann, it is there to be hit too. He looks to go over long on but cloths his attempt completely. He knew the moment the ball left his bat what his fate was, and Duffy, the top-ranked T20I bowler, has stood up to wrestle back further control of this game!. 131/4
3036112.0043230
12.5 to RR Hendricks, straight to Conway, and Hendricks bites the dust! Dug into the track outside off and this seems to just stick in the surface. Hendricks shapes for the pull but the lack of pace means that he drags it. Cannot generate the power he wants either and he picks out Conway to absolute perfection at deep backward square leg. Hendricks walks off disappointed, and this could be NZ's avenue back into the game!. 116/2

14.6 to HE van der Dussen, van der Dussen takes on the boundary, and comes up second-best! This is a massive moment in the game. Zipped in very full on leg stump. van der Dussen thinks he can go downtown but the ball is too full to get under it completely. Arrows it flat (off the inside half of the bat) towards Mitchell at long on, who accepts the offering with utmost glee. van der Dussen trudges off, and NZ keep chipping away!. 131/3

9.4 to LG Pretorius, deceived in the air, and Pretorius' party has been cut short! This is thrown out wider and fuller outside off. The extra air, though, tempts Pretorius into haring down the track. He does so but gets nowhere close to the pitch of the ball. It spins enough to go past Pretorius' flailing blade and Seifert does the rest. NZ break this opening stand, and Pretorius departs after a sprightly knock!. 92/1
