Andy Roddick completed his Wimbledon preparations with a successful defence of his Stella Artois Championship title at Queens last week. In a repeat of last year's final he defeated Sebastien Grosjean in straight sets, winning 7-6, 6-4 in 83 minutes. The big serving American, who smashed his way to a new service record of 153 mph earlier in the week, gets a Wimbledon quote of 10/3 from us.
Sebastian Grosjean represents sensational value next week at 28/1. He was a semi-finalist last year and reached the final of the 2003 and 2004 Queens Club tournaments. With such a good recent record on grass who's to say he can't go all the way this time?
World No.1 and defending champion Roger Federer remains a strong favourite at 5/4 with us, after extending his winning streak on grass to 17 matches by beating Mardy Fish 6-0, 6-3 in the Halle Open final. As Wimbledon top seed he is scheduled to meet second seeded Roddick in the final.
Perennial British hope Tim Henman is at 5/1, after losing his opening match at Queens to Karol Beck. Despite reaching four Wimbledon semis in the last six years, Henman has only been seeded fifth, behind clay-court specialist Guillermo Coria and fellow Argentinean David Nalbandian, which increases his chances of receiving a tough draw.

Women's singles
The Williams sisters have monopolized the green grass of Wimbledon over the last four years, and it is hard to see beyond another Serena v Venus final - a repeat of the last two years. Serena may not be the dominant figure in ladies tennis that she was when leaving here twelve months ago, after knee surgery put her out for a long spell, although she did win in Miami on her return in March. Since then, despite her ranking slipping to 10th, she has done enough to suggest that she again will take all the beating on a surface she clearly relishes.
Venus has arguably been in better form than her sister in the past few months, and her record in SW19 is superb - winner in 2000 and 2001, and runner-up to Serena in 2002 and 2004 (34-4 record overall). Recent wins in Charleston and Warsaw indicate that she too is back to her best, embarking on a 19-match winning streak on clay that was only ended by eventual French Open champion Anastasia Myskina. She had looked the better player of the two in last year's final until succumbing to an abdominal injury, and at the respective prices Venus gets the vote at a shade too big 10/3.
Of the others, it is possible that age may have caught up with Capriati and Davenport, while Myskina is only seeded second on the back of her recent French Open on clay. So perhaps the biggest challenge will come from Russian Daniela Hantuchova, a quarter finalist two years ago, who is showing signs of a return to form after showing up well in Eastbourne last week.
