New Delhi, Nov 17 Former Delhi captain Ajay Sharma has been
given a last opportunity to appear tomorrow before the BCCI's Anti-
Corruption Commissioner K Madhavan who is questioning the players
named in the CBI report on betting and match-fixing.
"This is the third time I have called him. Each time, he has come up
with some excuse or the other (for not appearing)," Madhavan told PTI
on his arrival in New Delhi today. "If he doesn't come tomorrow, I am
not going to give him a further chance,'' he said.
Sharma is one of five cricketers - the others being Mohammed
Azharuddin, Ajay Jadeja, Manoj Prabhakar and Nayan Mongia - named in
the CBI report.
Prabhakar, Jadeja and Mongia, along with former physiotherapist Ali
Irani were questioned by Madhavan in Chennai while Azharuddin went
through a six-hour grilling by him in Hyderabad yesterday.
Madhavan has said he will submit his report to the Cricket Board by
November 25.
