Amitava shines as Bengal draw with Bihar

Bengal skipper Amitava Chakraborty scored a patient 148 to post a mammoth 433 all out in 110.1 overs against Bihar at Telco Club Ground, Jamshedpur in another East Zone Cooch Behar Trophy match. Wicketkeeper Ritesh Jaiswal (88) Manavandra Yadav (57) and Abhishek Jhunjhunwala (49) chipped in with useful contributions. Bihar stuck it out and managed a total of 286 in 92.5 overs. Sabir Ali (4/80) put the brakes on the Bihar batsmen. Fardeen Khan (75) was the highest scorer for Bihar. Bengal batted in their second innings for 54 overs scoring 219/5. Openers Manavandra Yadav (57) and Arindam Das (86) put on 106 runs off 24.4 overs
