The Bangladesh cricket team has arrived in Harare to begin a month-long tour of two Tests and five one-day internationals.
It is a series in which the two weakest teams in world cricket will come head-to-head. Bangladesh are still searching for their first victory in Test cricket, and their first win over any Test opposition since the 1999 World Cup, when they beat Pakistan at Northampton. They have just completed a successful warm-up trip in Namibia, and open the second leg of their tour with a three-day practice match against Zimbabwe A on Saturday. The first Test begins at the Harare Sports Club on February 19.
The second Test takes place at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo from February 26, where the first two ODIs will also be held. The tour concludes in Harare for three more ODIs on March 10, 12 and 14. Bangladesh will be led by a new captain, Habibul Bashar, who took over from Khaled Mahmud last month.
