Bangladesh recall Greenidge

Gordon Greenidge, the former Barbados and West Indies opener and now West Indies selector, has joined the Bangladesh team as batting coach in the build-up to the World Cup.

Greenidge, who was national coach when Bangladesh reached the World Cup for the first time in the 1999 tournament, is now with the team as "technical" coach on their pre-cup tour of Namibia.

"Gordon will assist the team during the Namibia tour as a consultant till January 31," said Mahbub Anam, chairman of the cricket committee of the Bangladesh Cricket Board
