Bereaved Wright pulls out of Dhaka tri-series

Indian coach John Wright, whose father has passed away, has pulled out of the forthcoming tri-nation tournament in Dhaka.

Jagmohan Dalmiya, the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, told newsmen at Kolkata on Saturday that Wright had written to him and expressed his inability to make the trip under the circumstances.

Dalmiya announced that a replacement will be named in a couple of days.

Wright had rushed back home to Christchurch immediately after the World Cup final to be by the side of his father, who had been seriously ill for quite some time.

Wright's contract had only been recently extended by two months to ensure his availability for the Dhaka tournament slated to start on April 11.
