United Cricket Board managing director Ali Bacher just managed to avoid saying "I told you so" in response to the release of the Central Bureau of Investigation report in India on Wednesday.
Bacher's evidence during the King commission of inquiry in July suggested that match-fixing was spread far wider than just the involvement of South African cricketers, including disgraced former captain Hansie Cronje.
In a statement Bacher said: "It neither surprises me nor please me to hear the information contained in the CBI report. Many of my concerns expressed during my evidence at the King commission have now been confirmed. While it is unpleasant we need to see these developments in a positive light as all involvements in this malpractice must be unearthed so that cricket can go forward with confidence."
As a result of the evidence, Pakistan umpire Javed Akhtar has said he intends to sue Bacher, but neither Bacher nor his board seems to be taking this threat seriously.
