Chris Taylor has joined Derbyshire on a two-year contract. Taylor, 24, will leave Yorkshire after six seasons.
"Chris is a talented young batsman," Derybshire's chief executive Tom Sears told BBC Sport. "[He] has excelled in second XI and Yorkshire league cricket. He's never really been given a regular run in the Yorkshire first team."
In his time at Yorkshire, he scored just two half-centuries - an unbeaten 52 against Surrey in 2002 - while he only played one first-class match last season, where he scored 14.
