Dimona C outplayed an understrength Ra'anana team to win the final league game of the season by 89 runs at Hadar Yosef on Friday and possibly earn themselves a place in the playoffs. The result of their game against Lions Lod earlier in the year has yet to be confirmed, but should they be awarded the victory they will finish fourth on the table and play Lions in the semi-final. Ra'anana finished third and will meet Neve Yonatan in the other semi-final.
Batting first, Dimona C lost early wickets on a difficult pitch with little bounce, but contributions from Oren Chincholkar (23) and the experienced Jacky Divekar (41*), together with very wayward bowling from the home team, took them to a competitive score of 159. Ra'anana's reply began disastrously when Rafi Zauer (2) was bowled in the first over by Divekar by a ball that stayed very low, Steven Shein (6) was given out caught behind off Chincholkar, Adrian Vard (3) was bowled by Chincholkar and then David Silver (5) was bowled by Divekar off a ball that rolled, to basically end the game as a contest. Divekar and Chincholkar finished with three wickets each as Ra'anana were all out for 70.
