Taunton, England-Leg-spinner Mahendra Nagamootoo scored his maiden
first-class century yesterday but there was little else to cheer West
Indies in their four-day match against Somerset. Set a victory target
of 439, they ended the penultimate day on five for one.
Nagamootoo, unbeaten on 97 overnight, was dismissed for 100, his 139-
ball innings including 13 fours and three sixes.
Wicketkeeper Wayne Phillip weighed in with an unbeaten 67, his first
half-century in first-class cricket, but the West Indies total of 290
left them 198 runs behind on first innings.
