South African speedster Allan Donald should prove that lightning
strikes twice in the same place in New Zealand this summer.
Donald, dubbed "White Lightning", will unleash his fast bowling fury
on the Black Caps during the three-test and six one-day game series
in February and March. Donald, 32, has proven since South Africa's
re-emergence from isolation to be consistently the quickest and most
successful fast bowler in the world.
His ability to get the ball to climb from just short of a good
length, makes him most difficult to play at both versions of the
game.
Donald developed his game on the English county circuit with
Warwickshire, but in six years on the test arena has already claimed
237 test scalps.
The past season has been an outstanding one for "Donald the
Destroyer", capturing 42 wickets at 17 against Australia, Pakistan,
and Sri Lanka.
He continued his outstanding form against England with 33 wickets at
19, breaking his country's record for most wickets in a test series.
