England have revealed they have several injury worries as they prepare for the First Test in just a few days time.
"I didn't show it during the match," Hussain admitted, "but I've been struggling with my back over the last four or five days. I've not got a crystal ball so I don't know whether I'll be ready for the Test or not.
"It's as bad as it's been in six months and I will be seeing the physio regularly over the next few days to make sure it's all right."
There is no word from the England camp as to who would captain the side if Hussain is forced to pull out. While Stewart and Atherton have huge international captaincy experience, it was a Thorpe who skippered the side in the warm-up game in Rawalpindi.
Thought to be more serious is Craig White's hamstring problem. Though he emerged unscathed through the Governor's XI game, England may be reluctant to risk him as the vital third seamer in a Test Match.
"Craig's injury started in Nairobi and when he bowls four or five overs he starts feeling his hamstring," explained Hussain. "He's all right going into other games but going into a Test match for five days is something else."
The other worry is Michael Vaughan who is suffering from a calf-strain.
