International Cricket Council match referee in Cairns for the Australia-Bangladesh second Test Mike Procter is to return home following the death of his father. He will be replaced for the remaining days of the Test by former Australian allrounder Ron Archer.
Procter is taking no further part in the match. And for the three one-day internationals to follow the 3 Test series, it is likely that Gundappa Viswanath will fly out from India for the series which starts on August 2.
Archer is the Cricket Australia code of behaviour commissioner. He played 19 Tests from 1952-57 and was appointed to the interim position by Queensland Cricket, at the request of Cricket Australia. The selection was sanctioned by the ICC and the management of both the Australian and Bangladesh teams.
