Hyderabad had to be content with first innings points despite
dominating their South Zone Vijay Merchant Trophy (under-16) match
against Karnataka which concluded at Secundarabad on Wednesday.
Resuming on the final morning with a first innings lead of 54 runs,
Hyderabad declared their second innings at 208 for seven in 68
overs. AT Rayudu top scored with 64 off 102 balls with six fours and a
six while Samiullah Khan came up with a bright unbeaten 54 off 70
balls with eight fours and a six. Left to get 263 runs for victory,
Karnataka were 116 for five at close.
