The committee, which will meet for the first time this Sunday in Kolkata, will go through the procedure of selecting a new coach, and will make a reccomendation to the BCCI's working committee. The working committee, which will meet later this month, will make a final decision.
The decision has been pending since India's series against Pakistan got over in the middle of April, when John Wright's contract expired. Greg Chappell, Dav Whatmore, Tom Moody and Dean Jones are among the contenders for the job.
