The ICC today announced umpire and match referee appointments for upcoming Test and ODI series in South Africa, Bangladesh and New Zealand.
A six-match tri-series of ODIs involving Canada, Bermuda and the Netherlands will take place from 26 November to 2 December in South Africa and will be overseen by Mike Procter of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees.
The first three matches in that series - Canada v Bermuda on 26 November, Bermuda v Netherlands on 27 November and Canada v Netherlands on 28 November - will all take place at Sedgars Park, Potchefstroom. Standing in each of those games will be Kevan Barbour of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires and Jeff Luck from the ICC Associates and Affiliates International Umpires Panel.
The second three ODIs in that series - Bermuda v Netherlands on 30 November, Bermuda v Canada on 1 December and Canada v Netherlands on 2 December - will take place at Willowmoore Park, Benoni. Standing in those games will be Russell Tiffin of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires and Subhash Modi of the ICC Associates and Affiliates International Umpires Panel.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh will be hosting Zimbabwe in a five-match ODI series, from 30 November to 9 December, overseen by Ranjan Madugalle, chief referee on the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees. Suresh Shastri and Nadeem Ghauri of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires will take turns standing in those matches with the other umpire in each game being appointed by the host country. Full details are printed below. The umpires who will stand in the Twenty20 international between the two countries in Khulna on 28 November will be local appointments.
Later in December Bangladesh will play two ODIs against Scotland, in Chittagong and Fatullah, with Mike Procter overseeing both. ICC has appointed Nadeem Ghauri to both those games while the host board will appoint the other on-field official.
Javagal Srinath of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees has been appointed to oversee a two-Test and five-ODI series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The Tests will take place in Christchurch (7-11 December) and Wellington (15-19 December). ICC Umpire of the Year Simon Taufel and Brian Jerling of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires have been appointed to stand in both those Tests.
Steve Davis of the Emirates International Panel of ICC Umpires has been appointed to stand in each of the five ODIs that will take place between 28 December and 9 January. The host board will appoint the other for each match.
The appointments for other series during this period have already been announced and appointments for other upcoming series will be announced in due course.
