ICC CWC 2007 Warm-Up changes for Ireland and Pakistan

The four teams competing in Group C of Warm-up matches for next year's ICC Cricket World Cup have agreed to a change in fixtures to rectify an anomaly in the format

The four teams competing in Group C of Warm-up matches for next year's ICC Cricket World Cup have agreed to a change in fixtures to rectify an anomaly in the format.
Ireland and Pakistan - who are both drawn in Group D of the tournament's Group Stage in Jamaica - will now no longer play each other in a Warm-up fixture on Tuesday March 6, 2007, in Trinidad & Tobago. They will, however, meet in their Group Stage clash at Sabina Park on Saturday March 17, 2007- St. Patrick's Day for Irish supporters.
To ensure that these two teams do not therefore meet at the Warm-up stage, two Group C fixtures have been switched.
As a result, South Africa will now face Ireland on Monday March 5, 2007, while Pakistan plays Canada on Tuesday March 6, 2007, at Sir Frank Worrell Ground at UWI - SPEC. The remaining two matches in Warm-up Group C will proceed as originally indicated.
ICC CWC WI 2007 Inc. will contact all persons who have purchased tickets for the affected games and the match schedule will be updated accordingly.
Any queries regarding this matter can be directed to the ICC CWC 2007 Call Centre at: (876) 929- CRKT (2758).
