Injured Elworthy to return to South Africa

Northerns Titans and South Africa fast bowler Steve Elworthy has suffered a groin strain and is to return to South Africa tomorrow.

"Steve suffered a groin strain in the warm-ups for Friday's match against New Zealand and the recovery period is about 10 days," said SA national team physio Craig Smith in Perth today.

Elworthy will fly directly from Perth to Johannesburg tomorrow when the rest of the squad travels to Melbourne for the first final of the VB Series One-Day Internationals. No replacement has been called to join the tour.
