CRICKET: Defending champions Kingston College will be on the
hunt for their 15th title when they oppose Waterford
Comprehensive today in their Sunlight Cup two-day semi-final at
Melbourne Park.
In the other semi-final, St. Catherine High host St. Andrew
Technical High School (STATHS) at St. John's Road, Spanish Town.
Both matches start at 10:30 a.m.
The semi-finals comprise two groups of four teams which will
play in a round-robin format. They are: Group A: Kingston
College, St. Catherine High, Waterford Comprehensive and St.
Andrew Technical (STATHS).
Group B: St. George's College, Wolmer's Boys, Bridgeport
Comprehensive and Jonathan Grant High.
KC, coached by Roy McLean, has been doing quite well this season
without the gifted right-handed allrounder Marlon Samuels who
won the man-of-the-match award against Jonathan Grant High in
last year's final after he picked up six wickets and scored a
century to hand the North Street giants their 14th title.
KC captain Shane Brookes along with opening batsman Sean
Couseley, leg-spinner Kerry Scott and pacer Andrew Richardson
are their leading players who should get them in the final once
again.
