Warwickshire's coach, Mark Greatbatch, has said Alex Loudon has the attributes to perform at the highest level for England.
Loudon, 25, was picked by England to tour Pakistan next month, alongside Shaun Udal and England's senior spinner Ashley Giles. Greatbatch, who played 41 Tests for New Zealand, told the BBC: "I've observed Alex and talked to him, and he's quality across the board. He's brought a really good depth to us. He's got good talent, but he's also got a good brain on him - and for me, those are key attributes. He shows guts and Duncan (Fletcher) is picking people with those qualities."
Loudon has been included in England's squad following a good season for Warwickshire, and to strengthen the spin-bowling department for the traditionally dry and dusty pitches of the subcontinent. But it is his all-round quality and strength as a player that Greatbatch admires, adding that he "is a strong character and he can deliver when things are tough." England's opening match is in Rawalpindi on October 31.
