The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced the squad for the NatWest England Under 19 Team to play Sri Lanka in three One-Day Internationals at the end of July.
The squad of 13 features six new players and a new captain, from the squad which competed in the Under 19 World Cup in Sri Lanka in February this year. Nicky Peng, Jamie Dalrymple, Peter Trego, Mark Davies, Kabir Ali and Monty Panesar are the newcomers, with Mark Wallace taking over the captaincy.
Tim Boon, NatWest England Under 19 Team Coach, said "We have selected players who not only have performed well this year, but who, we believe, have shown qualities necessary for playing at the highest level. Although we will be aiming to win the series this summer, the long-term aim of the NatWest Development of Excellence programme is to develop cricketers for England's senior team.
"We have made a number of changes from the winter and these have been made for reasons of injury, player performances so far this year, as well as, in some cases, a lack of cricket due to education.
"Sri Lanka were finalists in the recent World Cup and are a very good side, so it will be a strong test of our players."
The squad for the three four-day Test Match Series, which will be played in August, will be announced after the conclusion of the One-Day International Series.
