Queensland, who are fresh from back-to-back victories, will head into Friday's FR Cup match against Tasmania at the Gabba with an unchanged squad. The Bulls sit on top of the ladder - Victoria and New South Wales are yet to play a game - after their successes over Western Australia and South Australia in the past week, which lifted them after an opening-night loss to the Warriors.
The only thought the selectors gave to altering the line-up was bringing in Chris Swan, the swing bowler, but he will be kept for Sunday's Sheffield Shield match against the Tigers after recovering from a groin injury. Queensland's young fast men Ben Cutting, Nathan Rimmington, Scott Walter and Alister McDermott will have another opportunity to strengthen their places in the side while Ben Laughlin (stomach), Grant Sullivan (hamstring) and Ryan Harris (knee) are out.
Tasmania were forced into a couple of changes, with the rookies Brady Jones and Wade Irvine coming in for the Australian one-day players Tim Paine and Ben Hilfenhaus. Their line-up for the Sheffield Shield match is the same as the one that lost to South Australia last week.
Victoria and New South Wales return to Australian domestic action over the next week following their engagements in the Champions League Twenty20 in India. The Bushrangers start a Sheffield Shield match against South Australia in Adelaide on Friday while the Blues, who won the lucrative event, face Western Australia at North Sydney in a one-day game on Sunday.
