Test evenly poised - Younis
Pakistan's Younis Khan said that the Galle Test was wide open and his side and was aggrieved with not picking up as many wickets as they could have in the final session. "There's a good chance for both teams to win this test match because they are also in a good position at 99-1 and if they score somewhere around 400 in the next two days they also have a chance to win the game.
"For us, if we take some early wickets tomorrow morning, then we have a chance to win the game, it all depends on tomorrow's first session [and] how they manage and how we attack them," Younis said. "There's some bounce and spin in this wicket, we were unlucky in this session, we should have got one or two wickets. The way Sangakkara and Silva have played, they did really well, if one more partnership is like this the game will be 50-50."
Younis is wary about the hosts' recent form. "If you look at Sri Lanka team they have 3-4 established players like Sanga, Jayawardene and don't forget Mathews who always performs down the order. The way he has performed under Jayawardne and Sanga, they also have a good chance to save the match if they play two good sessions. The way ball was seaming and spinning sharply I think we should have got 2 or 3 wickets, that's my opinion because if there's a partnership suddenly things start going against you."
