Pietersen gets engaged

Kevin Pietersen has got engaged to Liberty X singer Jessica Taylor, according to a report in today's Daily Telegraph.

Pietersen, 26, was said to be "over the moon" and the couple, who are both 26, have yet to set a date.

Pietersen recently said that he was getting used a life in the public spotlight, and that pressure will only increase with this news.

"I've got used to the attention, it's now a way of life," Pietersen said last month. "It was quite daunting at first but it's bearable now. I've just got to smile and look as though I'm happy all of the time.

"I can't go out of the house without dressing up just in case I get snapped by the paparazzi but I don't do many things I shouldn't. I'm just ultra polite and ultra nice now because I'm not just representing English cricket but I want to be a good role model for kids."
