Scotland skipper George Salmond has announced his retirement from the
international game after his team's failure to qualify for the World Cup.
The Scots lost out to Canada at the ICC Trophy earlier this summer and miss
out on the 2003 showpiece.
The 31-year-old, who was capped 146 times, told The Scotsman: "My career
has been like a dream and I have some amazing memories."
