Rawalpindi, Feb 29: Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam on Tuesday said
off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will not be able to bowl on the fifth day
of the first Test. Intikhab said is under going various medical tests
and has been advised by doctors not to exert.
Saqlain who was taken ill on Sunday night and was hospitalised for
dehydration and chest pangs. Intikhab said that a few medical tests
have been cleared but the results of two are still awaited. Intikhab
said that whatever chances are there to save the match will depend on
the early wickets of Waqar Younis and Abdur Razzaq.
The Pakistan coach was all praise for the gallant fight back led by
debutant centurion Younis Khan and Wasim Akram. He said Younis Khan
was an excellent find for Pakistan cricket.
Sri Lanka Managerupbeat: Sri Lankan manager T.B. Kehelgamuwa was upbeat with his team
needing another 209 for victory. "I don't think we will have any problems in getting the remaining runs
because the wicket is very good for batting, almost a dead track," the manager.
