Players like Brendon McCullum and Faf du Plessis are wasted on the benches of their respective franchises. There are other teams that will be glad to have their services for the second half of the season.

The IPL's isn't long enough for a transfer window to add much value to the proceedings. Teams get enough time to plan before the auction, and pick the players of their choice for the entire season.
