History of sorts will be made this weekend when teams from Slovenia and Croatia meet in a friendly in Lubljana, Slovenia.
The Lubljana C.C. will host a team of Australian Croatians in a friendly. More in the next edition.
Meanwhile, Lubljana C.C has entered the semi-finals of the Austrian Cup competition, following a 25 run win over the United Nations team in Vienna last weekend.
Melbourne District first grade player, Mark Oman, batted through the innings, scoring 54 not out to steer his team to an innings total of 138-5.
Lubljana C.C's bowling all-rounder, Bradley Eve, then skittled the UN's top order, taking three wickets in the first four overs, as the UN collapsed to 30-5.
A lone hand of 73 by one of the UN players allowed it to reach 113 all-out.
The win was made more meritorious due to Lubljana only fielding nine players.
Oman had only just returned to Slovenia after playing first grade in Melbourne. He was born in Australia to Slovene parents.
The next day Lubljana lost a friendly match to Sri Lanka C.C. by 75 runs.
