Rain affected several games in the latest round of National League games, with the matches between Kent and Essex, Scotland and Sussex, and Durham and Leicestershire all called off with no result. However, some games were possible, and in Division One, Gloucestershire beat Lancashire by 18 runs thanks to 89 from Craig Spearman, and 4 for 30 by Jonathan Lewis. At Edgbaston, Northamponshire's Timothy Roberts scored a hundred, but that proved to be in vain, as Mark Wagh (70) and Brad Hogg (74) lead Warwickshire to a four-wicket win.
In Division Two, Derbyshire wrapped up a comprehensive nine-wicket victory over Nottinghamshire after being set 211 to win at Trent Bridge. Chris Bassano provided the mainstay of Derbyshire's innings with 100 not out. Elsewhere, Somerset collapsed against Worcestershire at Worcester, with Keith Dutch playing a lone hand, scoring 79 not out, as Somerset went down by 64 runs. Finally, in a match reduced to 24 overs-a-side by rain at Headingley, Owais Shah powered Middlesex to a 29-run win over Yorkshire, smashing 81 off 56 balls.
