Benn added to West Indies one-day squad

Sulieman Benn, the left-arm spinner, has been called up to West Indies' one-day squad for the series against India. He will join the squad, in place of Sunil Narine, ahead of the first one-dayer which is in Kochi on Wednesday.

Benn has not played limited-overs cricket for West Indies since the 2011 World Cup, though he has turned out for them in five Tests this year. In his 25 ODIs, he has 29 wickets 31.86.

Narine was withdrawn from the series after he had been reported for a suspect action twice at the recently-concluded Champions League T20, where he had played for Kolkata Knight Riders before being suspended from bowling. While the suspension was restricted to the Champions League and other BCCI-run tournaments, like the IPL, the WICB subsequently decided to not play him in the India series.

West Indies play five ODIs and a T20 in India, followed by three Tests.
