The Barbados cricket selectors have called up 25 players to prepare for next month's Red Stripe Bowl one-day competition. Three players in the squad are yet to play at the senior national level. They are David Sealy, the Banks off-spinning allrounder, Barbados Under-19 skipper Jason Parris, and teenage keeper Patrick Browne.
The 24-year-old Sealy has earned a surprise call-up, but his brother, Anderson, Barbados best bowler in the West Indies Under-19 competition, has been overlooked.
Training sessions for the players are on Mondays at Queen's Park from 3:30 p.m. and former West Indies opener Gordon Greenidge will coach the players in the absence of William Bourne. Greenidge will be assisted by chairman of selectors Desmond Haynes.
