Cozier to speak at Queen's Park
REGIONAL and international cricket commentator Tony Cozier will deliver
the feature address at the annual Queen's Park Cricket Club dinner and
award ceremony to be held at the Queen's Park Oval on Friday 28th
November, 1997.
The popular world-renowned cricket commentator will speak on the topic
"The state of West Indies cricket today".
At the function, to which President ANR Robinson has been invited, the
Sportsmen of the Year for each sporting discipline to which the club was
involved as well as the club's five Cricketers of the Year will be
announced. Among the cricketers in contention for honours are national
opening batsman Suruj Ragoonath, currently on tour with the WI 'A' team
in South Africa, WI youth left-arm pacer Asif Jan and national
all-rounder Andr Lawrence.
At last year's function, the club inducted former Test cricketers Joey
