Great Work Satish, Guys the intent is just to show that indian team is still back to square 1.. No matter you keep hitting centuries..Team tends to loose.. !!

    Awesome Satish !!

  • kspethe on January 3, 2013, 4:45 GMT

very true cartoon........ every time SRT does something great INDIA loses.............. :( hope we will fight back in 2nd and 3rd oneday.... best luck Dhoni and Co. in last one-day, I cheered for Dhoni for the first time since 2011 WC...

  • Rahul_Ah on January 3, 2013, 2:31 GMT

He said nothing bad about Sachin. He is just referring to the fact that when he played, he used to carry the team. He got hundreds but the team still used to loose. His centuries used to be in vain.

Now he quit so team so he wont pull the team back, and even this decision has been in vain since India lost anyway.

In both the cases he tried his best, but his effort was in vain.

And personally I see others saying Sachin played for himself. If all 11 players play for themselves, the team cannot loose. Your job isnt to worry about how others are playing. Just take care of how you play and thats all you need to do. It wasent his fault that dispite his best efforts, the rest of the team just wasent good enough to make use of his runs.

whats this supposed to mean ? can the cartoonist explain ?

  • on January 2, 2013, 21:27 GMT

@The_Mystery_Ball How many matches Misbah-ul-Haq won us and how many he lost for us. @ maxymax If Sachin is not Legend then non of them is, look at his records and figures and compare them with all of them you will have your answer.

  • on January 2, 2013, 21:17 GMT

so apt. so relevant. no fakeness to the fact.

  • maxymax on January 2, 2013, 20:13 GMT

Good one, Satish! Keep up the good work. For those who think SRT is a legend, he nowhere near to the true legends of Cricket like Don, Viv, Lara, Kallis and the likes. SRT played just for himself and not the team. Only on few occasions it turned out that he was able to see the team through to a win. It's true that he loved the game and was very dedicated to it and was gentlemen. But he always played for himself.

  • JAGATISH on January 2, 2013, 16:11 GMT

Hi Satish, Please stop saying again and again about SRT, he is and will be a legend. If some score century and lose the match it is team's fault for not capitalizing on one's effort.... Please stop these cartoon so that we will continue to adore your arts...

  • The_Mystery_Ball on January 2, 2013, 16:00 GMT

@ Shehzad Nizamani Misbah is a great player and it was only because of his captaincy and calmness that we have avoided many hairy situations in the past. It is a dillemma of our nation that we go after strike rates rather than averages.

India did lose by six wickets. Thanks to Muhammad Zaheer for pointing out the error. This has now been fixed

  • sparth on January 2, 2013, 11:05 GMT

Hmm.. I think Sathish is just clutching at straws here trying to drag this out as much as possible. Your previous cartoons were good, but this is very very poor

  • GAUTYSAYS on January 2, 2013, 10:00 GMT

@Satish Acharya: Buddy plz leave SRT alone. We must regard his privacy and calling it a day in ODIs but nevertheless it was really good seeing such cartoon on my FB wall.

in his 100 centuries how many matches are won by india??????

  • on January 2, 2013, 9:00 GMT

Not good Satish please leave the Legend SRT alone. He has done enough for cricket and deserves to be appreciated. Stop making him Misbah for India. We hate Misbah because he lost us many matches but Sachin scored 100s at decent strike rates it was team that lost because I think India doesn't plays as a team.

  • Anwar-Lara on January 2, 2013, 8:12 GMT

@muneeb2012,@Jawad Ghani . Very True even sometimes i feel that wasim akram and ramiz raja are more excited than any Indian commentator.. but its ok you ve got to appreciate when someone is doing good, and do not react like Indian commentators or Indian crowd. BTW superb job satish...

  • muneeb2012 on January 2, 2013, 7:57 GMT

@jawad ghani i think harsh bhogle is d best indian commentator....he isnt always neutral but he is always honest...@vivek sharma ramiz has really changed alot which is good....ramiz of old would have never got so much excited when kumar dismissed 3 pak batsmen in first t20

  • on January 2, 2013, 7:12 GMT

@Jawad Ghani: Ramiz a neutral commentator!!! you seriously got some good sense of humor..LOL

  • on January 2, 2013, 6:07 GMT

awsome Satish Dhoni is going to take his place now Dhoni's Innings was one of the best inspite of tat Misbah's chance. The thing that is making me write here is, that indian commentators talked alot about Dhoni's Century and none talked about the dropped chance. They talked less about Jamshed's century and more about his dropped catch. no doubt dhoni's century was better but look at the difference between the experience of the players. they said one thing again and again if that catch was taken match would have been different. No one said if Dhoni's catch was taken, indians were going to bundle out under 100. Commentators should be more like Ramiz and Sanjy Only these two are neutral.

  • crindex on January 2, 2013, 6:04 GMT

Superb ! Now its Dhoni's turn to concentrate on his personal records even though the team itself loses the match.

  • CricEshwar on January 2, 2013, 6:00 GMT

That's just mean. But I like the way you connect things.
